Installation instructions for Windows:
1. Open the downloaded installer file as an administrator. You may encounter a security prompt, and you will need to grant SketchUp permission to make changes on your computer.
2. Once the installation window appears, you will see a list of available products to install, including two SketchUp Studio features: Scan Essentials and Revit Importer.
3. If you wish to install V-Ray for SketchUp, please note that it requires additional installation steps. You can refer to our Installing V-Ray for SketchUp article for detailed instructions.
4. If you want to change the language, click on “Change…” next to Install Languages.
5. If you prefer to change the destination directory for the installation, click on “Change…” next to the Destination Directory option. However, it is recommended to keep SketchUp installed on the C:\ drive.
6. Click on the “Install” button to begin the installation process. A window will appear, displaying the progress of the installation sketchup for 2024.
7. Once you see the message “SketchUp 2024 is Ready to Go!”, you can click on the SketchUp icon in the window to launch SketchUp immediately. Alternatively, you can click on “Finish” to close the installer.
8. It is advisable to reboot your computer after the installation is complete.

Maintenance releases should be installed over an existing major version. If a maintenance release is available, you will receive a notification in SketchUp 2024 to download and install the update. After downloading the install file, double-click on it and follow the instructions provided. Installing the update over your existing version is recommended to keep your settings and preferences intact.
